picture perfect...

i dream of jeannie...

Ever see that show "I Dream of Jeannie"

I always thought how much fun that would be to just blink your eyes and be able to move or change things. Well, things change so often at the "chick" shop that if you blink your eyes a whole room might change right in front of you. I'm always amazed at how quickly things come and go and change at the shop. Take a look for yourself.

just look at these...

I had to save a post just for these pieces -- aren't they wonderful! Just look at the detail, you don't see many things like this anymore. The tall piece is already sold, the gentleman said he "gotta have it" for his granddaughter's room. Isn't that sweet!

The other pieces are still in -- if you hurry!

the weather outside is frightful, but the "chick" shop is so delightful...

Took awhile, but here are some pictures of the snow as seen from my back yard. I just love how snow looks in the trees, they look so beautiful. My dog Jake sure did enjoy the snow, and eating it! We got a few inches, and this morning we have freezing rain and freezing weather...wish you were here!

linda's "gotta have it" find...

Well, here is another one of Linda's "gotta have it" finds. She just loves this little canister -- I must admit, I "gotta have it" too! Too bad there is only one. If you "gotta have it" you better hurry in...what are you waiting for?

P.S. There will be many more "gotta have it" finds from Linda when we unload the truck today (yes, you read right -- more stuff to unload!)

technical difficulties...

Well, pour the wine back in the bottle and meet me back here tomorrow! I think I must be overloading this blogger with too many pictures -- because it keeps saying "try again in 30 seconds"

That was about an hour ago. I have so much to tell you, but its going to have to wait 'til tomorrow.

P.S. I think the snow has finally stopped!

the new stuff...

how much is that nightstand in the window...

In my earlier post I told you that we had alot of nightstands that just came in -- I wasn't kidding. The top one is our favorite, and yes there is a set of two! There are lots more placed around the shop so come by and check 'em out!

decorating for christmas...

I started decorating for Christmas last week and I just snapped a few pictures for you to see what I've done with the place. Have you started decorating yet?
I just love all the greenery and the soft lights, it makes the house feel so warm. Did I mention that I collect snowmen -- I have lots. I'll share those later.

dinner with grannie...

I am so behind...the day just slipped away!

Well, get ready cause here I go -- grab a glass of wine, sit back in your big 'ol comfortable computer chair and put your feet up! I'm about to show you what you have been missing!

This goes back to last week, when Linda and I worked up at the shop all day and my Mom stayed home with the kids and made a BIG pot of vegetable beef soup and we all came over for dinner. Here is an update of two of Linda's youngest enjoying time with Grannie. Thanks Mom!

shop talk...

Okay, I know its been quite a few days -- I promise to have post all of the pictures very soon. There has been so much going on, I just don't know where the time goes! We have been working away, the shop looks great and we will have some more goodies to unload for you. Keep checking back!

There is SO MUCH MORE -- I will post more later. We have some beautiful new pieces! Linda did a great job and got lots of wonderful things. We unloaded the truck all day Friday (Mom watched all the kids!). There are dressers, mirrors, dishes, architectural items, silver, platters, lots of nightstands...

Just come in to see all the goodies!

i'm back...

Linda went to auction on Wednesday (for the first time since baby Michael) and this is the first of four text/picture messages that I received from her:
"I'm back!"
The last message says:
"Show Mom"

It was alot of work for her to get ready to go, lots of planning. Three of the four kids spent the night at Grannie's so she could babysit. I came over early to take Quinn to school and then picked him up so my Mom didn't have to load all those kids in the car. We all helped out -- but it was worth it! Today we will be unloading the truck with lots of new things for you. I'll try to post some pictures for you later -- Happy Friday!

linda's house...
